Lake Kariba in Zambia is renowned for offering visitors a superb tiger fishing experience, situated on the banks of the Lake, tiger fishing is one of the main attraction for visitors to Lakeview Lodge and Chikanka Island and, although fishing is good year round, the best season for catching tiger fish is from September to December. The lodge record for the largest tiger fish caught in 2011 is currently standing at 7.8 kg!
Bream can also be targeted year round and are excellent eating fish! Other species caught frequently include vundu, barbel, chesa, bottle nose and many more!
We support the catch and release of tiger fish, and all other fish. We encourage you to only keep what you can eat! Our chef will happily prepare your fresh fish for lunch or dinner!
