Chikanka Island, Kariba Chalet Accommodation
Chikanka Island comprises three islands on Lake Kariba, approximately 500 ha in extent, and a 40 minute boat drive from Lakeview Lodge. These islands are home to a number of wildlife species, including Dafasa waterbuck, Greater kudu, impala and other antelope. Elephants are frequently seen visiting the islands, and hippos and crocodiles are resident. The private waters within and around the islands allow for excellent tiger and bream fishing!
Five newly renovated, 2 sleeper en-suite chalets provide comfortable accommodation, and fantastic views of Lake Kariba. A honeymoon suite provides a luxurious getaway in a natural surrounding for couples wanting to take some time out.
There is a large pool and entertainment area, as well as a newly built restaurant and bar with magnificent sunset views.
